Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America ( AVVA )
Established in 1991, Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America was created by those who wanted to support the goals of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Consisting of veterans from all eras; families and friends of veterans; and others dedicated to meeting the needs of veterans the AVVA is dedicated to helping improve the circumstances of veterans and their families.

PURPOSE: 1) TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL JROTC PROGRAMS FOR THEIR EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY SERVICE, ACADEMIC ACHEIVEMENTS AND SUCCESSES IN THE THOUSANDS OF JROTC UNITS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.
2) TO STRENGTHEN THE LEGACY OF THE VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA.
3) TO BRING ATTENTION TO THE HONORABLE SERVICE TO BOTH COUNTRY AND COMMUNITY BY VETERANS OF THE VIETNAM WAR.
4) TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL AVENUE INTO OUR SCHOOLS TO SUPPORT OUR VETERANS IN CLASSROOMS
PROGRAMS.
VVA National Eagle Scout Medal
In April 2019, the VVA National BOD approved the new National Eagle Scout Medal. Designed by Wes Guidry at the request of the VVA Public Affairs Committee, the medal is intended for presentation to a Scout who has achieved the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America.

American Legion- Post 40 Henderson – 100% of the funds raised are given back to the community. Help us to continue sponsoring Scholarships for our children; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans, and their families. Help us to continue to support financially worthy community programs and projects.
American Legion Riders
American Legion Riders were formed to:
Participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion.
Promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share similar interest.
Use our Association to promote and support programs of the American Legion.
VA Nationwide Gravesite Locator
You may search for burial locations of Veterans and their family members in VA National Cemeteries, state veterans cemeteries, various other military and Department of Interior cemeteries, and for veterans buried in private cemeteries when the grave is marked with a government grave marker. Also you may search for veterans that received a plaque or urn benefit from VA.

The Henderson Veterans Treatment Court
The Henderson Veterans Treatment Court is a specialty court in the City of Henderson Municipal Court system, takes a team approach to rehabilitate veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI) who have been charged with a misdemeanor crime.

Coast Guard Combat Veterans
The United States Coast Guard has participated in every war, declared and undeclared, since 1790. Its combat veterans have contributed outstanding service and many paid the ultimate price for safeguarding the freedom of this nation.
The Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association is a Non-Profit Association of Active Duty, Retired, Reserve, and Honorably Discharged Former Members of the United States Coast Guard, who served in, or provided direct support to combat situations recognized by an appropriate Military award, while serving as a member of the United States Coast Guard. We were established in 1985 by a group of Coast Guard veterans, whose wartime experiences brought a special kinship and camaraderie that generated an interest in socializing and sharing common experiences.The Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association is a fraternal organization, dedicated to fellowship among it’s members, and dedicated to making the public aware of the Coast Guard’s service and participation in those significant historical events in United States history.

Fleet Reserve Association
– Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard
The Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) is a congressionally chartered, non-profit organization that represents the interests of the Sea Service community before the U.S. Congress. Although the association was originally named for the Navy’s Fleet Reserve program, membership in FRA is open to all current and former sailors, marines, and Coast Guard personnel. The only requirement to join FRA is to have served as an enlisted member in the USN, USMC, or USCG for at least one day. FRA Branch 90 has local meetings on the 3nd Sunday of the Month at 1400 at Leatherneck Club, 4360 Spring Mountain Rd., Las Vegas NV 89102.
