Volunteers are needed to place flags on Water Street Lamp Poles to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day 2023. A few short step ladders are needed.

29 MAR 23 0930              Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration

All VVA / AVVA members are cordially invited to a celebration of Vietnam Veterans Day at the Southern Nevada Veterans Home at 100 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City at 9:30 AM for a 1-hour celebration of Vietnam Veterans Day on Wednesday, March 29th.  Bagels and cottage cheese will be available and there will be piano renditions of patriotic anthems all at the Home’s Town Hall.

25 MAR Veterans Festival for Vietnam & Korean War Veterans 1100 to 1500 volunteers are needed to staff the VVA 1076 booth. If enough volunteers sign up you may only have a one or two hour shift. Many veteran service organizations are represented displaying services available to all veterans. Also Free stuff is available, So Look sharp for the chapter and HELP OUT ! Unaccompanied Veteran Services

“Every veteran deserves to be buried honorably with dignity and respect!”

The Unaccompanied Veteran Services are held weekly on Thursday at 8:40 a.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery ,1900 Veterans Memorial Dr. Boulder City. Members of VVA #1076 regularly participate the solemn ceremony of putting our brothers and sisters to rest. Please consider attending. Gun Show Outreach Booth

A few times a year VVA 1076 as the opportunity to display it’s services with an Outreach Booth at Gun Shows. Details will be available when the next one is scheduled.

VA Stand-down

The VA Stand-down is an event that supports veterans in need. VVA 1076 typically provides a hot meal to veterans who visit the Stand-down. Due to the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions was placed on hold. Hopefully in the near future the Stand-down can resume. At the VA Stand-down veterans may receive a range of support services from haircuts to clothing and counsel.
